My story with the Fidget Cube began about 2 years ago when I started homeschooling my oldest daughter. Quite often I would nag her to stop picking at her clothes or wiggling so much during teaching time. Somewhere last year, I found the Fidget Cube on Kickstarter and thought that it was perfect for my wiggly daughter.
According to their website, this cute little gadget is “an unusually addicting, high-quality desk toy designed to help you focus. Fidget at work, in class, and at home in style. Fidget Cube has six sides. Each side features something to fidget with: Click. Glide. Flip. Breathe. Roll. Spin.” You can view their clever promo video HERE. There is also a Prism keychain accessory available, to keep the Cube with you at all times.
Fast forward to earlier in January when our Fidget Cube finally arrived. Justin give it to her and she sat mostly still for over an hour while they studied all about the Inauguration. It was like a magical no-wiggle potion! Since then, she uses it regularly during the school day, either while I’m teaching her or she’s doing her seat work. I feel that it helps her focus and she agrees.
The Cube is currently selling pre-orders for $22, which was more than I wanted to spend (I’m cheap). After receiving it, I do feel that It was money well spent and I would purchase another one for Daughter #2 if needed.
